WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR MICRODERMABRASION FACIAL.

At Heart & Sole you can have Microdermabrasion Facial done as part of the Flawless Facial, or if time is precious then you can have it as a treatment on its own.

If you are booked in to have this treatment as part of the Flawless Facial then you are in for a real treat. You can lie back and be pampered with the bespoke sequence of a Double Cleanse followed by Steam or Hot towels. The face will then receive a Diamond Microdermabrasion Treatment to exfoliate to assist in the removal of acne scarring, lift pigmentation and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Following this relaxing part of the session there will be a specialist cream applied to the face which will then be covered by a layer of gauze. The electrode will then, slowly, in circular movements be applied to the face to oxygenate the skin work its magic of all the other benefits it gives. Following on from the high frequency there will a lovely deep hydrating mini lift mask or super repair mask, you can choose, applied to give the skin extra nourishment and re-balancing properties. Whilst the mask is on you can enjoy either a luxurious hand and arm massage or a soothing foot reflexology treatment. Once the mask is removed you will then have a SPF applied to the skin and a spritz of revitalizing tonic to refresh and revitalise.

Microdermabrasion - If time is an issue but your skin still needs some TLC then you can still enjoy it as a stand alone treatment. The treatment will take around 30 minutes and you can still relax during that time and get back to your day. The treatment will start off with a double deep cleanse with hot towels to help open the skin and relax the muscles. Following this the Microdermabrasion will commence.

Microdermabrasion is a progressive rather than aggressive treatment. The epidermal layers are removed gently and safely over a course of treatments. An ideal treatment would be every 7-10 days for the best results. This ensures that the Stratum Corneum layer that is removed has not been able to rebuild so that with each subsequent treatment, the intensity each of the treatment can be increased in order to reach deeper down the layers of the epidermis. This will help to lift pigmentation, smooth fine lines and improve acne scaring.

Following your Microdermabrasion treatment it is important to protect the skin so a Protect and Repair SPF 40 will be applied so you can be safe in the knowledge that when you leave my room your skin will be protected.

After care kits will also be available to purchase to maintain your skincare at

home between appointments.
